butter london: slapper
This is going to be a quick post today. For the most part, I really do like Butter LONDON polishes. However, this one just didn’t live up to my expectations, unfortunately.

From the bottle, Slapper looks like a bright teal. However, on the nail, it’s pretty sheer, and much more green. If you look up swatches of the color, it’s a broad assortment. This is a hard color to photograph – it leans green on some, blue on others. It looks very blue on Polish Pauper, while extremely neon green over at Polish Chest. The fact is that the color you see in the bottle is not the color you are going to get on your nails, and that’s dissapointing. This is not a teal as it describes. I would say this is a bright green with blue undertones.

Try to ignore the color of the bottle in the second picture – the first picture is more color accurate in regards to bottle color. The bottle isn’t as dark in real life as it is in the above picture, but I was concentrating on getting the nail color correct. This is a pretty shade, but it is sheer and a little jelly-like. I’m just a little off put on how different the color is from the bottle color is. This does happen occasionally in the nail polish world, but there definitely should be more consistency.
