comparison: below deck & channelesque
Left: Channelesque; Right: Below Deck
When China Glaze started to promote their Anchors Away collection for this spring, there was a lot of buzz that the shade Below Deck was a dupe for the long discontinued favorite, Channelesque. I was fortunate enough to get Channelesque in a swap last year, so let’s see how close these two shades really are.
First off, I think both of these shades are really, really close. I think Channelesque might be a little more ‘purple’ but I think you’d have to look really close to tell. I think to the naked eye, you wouldn’t be able to notice. They are very close. Below Deck may be a little warmer, as well. But it is really hard to tell. Channelesque is also very hard to find, as well as it stinks to high heaven due to it having Touelene in it. Below Deck is 3-Free and doesn’t stink like Channelesque does.
