zoya: true collection

I finally have Zoya‘s True Collection for you guys. I know this is on every blog out there already, but I wanted to test the wear on some of these shades prior to reviewing this time. I also have to wait until these are available to the public for purchase, so that is why sometimes my reviews are little later.

Bevin is a very pretty shade that is a dusty medium sage green creme. I’ve seen several brands introduce this kind of shade into their collections recently. Normally, mint greens look pretty awful on me. However, I just love this shade. It’s very flattering, and so pretty, and most definitely not your average green. It’s a little dustier than the photo shows in real life. This was a great formula, two coats. I got average wear on this shade, two to three days, which is typical for me on Zoya polishes.

Skylar is a stunning dusty steel blue with gold and silver shimmer. Oh, this one is so nice. This is another shade that has several counterparts in other brands, but I just love this kind of polish. This polish has a flaky kind of shimmer, which makes it much more unique. I really loved this color, but unfortunately only lasted a day and a half on me. I hope it’s just a fluke, I will need to wear it again to see.

Tru is a red grape purple shade with red and gold shimmer. This is definitely a warm-toned purple. I didn’t test the wear on this one, but this is a very pretty shade. I’ve heard it’s almost an exact dupe for OPI’s upcoming shade Dutch’ya Just Love O.P.I from the Holland Collection. I detest OPI’s brush with a passion, so I’m glad I have the Zoya version. While I was editing these swatches, I figured out that “Tru” was for the “True” collection. Wow, I sure was slow on that one!

Lotus is a gorgeous blue-toned dusty medium purple with pink shimmer. If you have been reading my blog, you know one shade I just can’t get enough of is blue-toned dusty purples. So it’s an understatement that I like this one. It’s stunning, it’s everything I wanted Neeka to be (that one dried way too dark for me). Lotus lasted about three days on me. Does anyone really know anyone named Lotus?? I really don’t get Zoya’s naming mechanism.

Zoya, $8.
